VitaScope Journal

Welcome to the official website for VitaScope Journal at Vassar College!

We are a student-run undergraduate public health journal exploring the intersectionality between public health, healthcare, innovations, administration/policy, biomedicine, and its effects on society as well as accessibility.

VitaScope was created in 2023 by Co-Founders Sophia Balich and Kalina Rashkov and will be publishing it’s very first issue in late Spring of 2024. The executive board is comprised of 18 undergraduate students at Vassar College and the journal is peer reviewed by a variety of experts in public health in their own right, including a Harvard graduate student, multiple MPHs, and professors of Science, Technology, and Society at Vassar College.

Based in Poughkeepsie, VitaScope aims to make public health accessible and sustainable to both the local and larger community, STEM or not. Whie it is a scientific journal; we want to emphasize the importance of making public health accessible and equitable and do so in the journal by providing resources, original artwork, and editing for accessibility.
